El jueves 24 de abril tuvo lugar la  jornada DSV Fulfilment Factory, en la que la innovación, la sostenibilidad y la  eficiencia fueron protagonistas. 

Durante la jornada, los asistentes pudieron conocer en profundidad a DSV, una de las compañías líderes a nivel global en transporte y logística. La presentación estuvo a cargo de Sabrina Balada (Senior Marketing Manager) y Arantxa  Claverías (Senior Project Solutions Manager), quienes ofrecieron una visión clara del compromiso de la empresa con la tecnología y el desarrollo sostenible.

Uno de los ejemplos más destacados de este compromiso es su primer almacén  multinivel en España, una infraestructura pionera diseñada para optimizar el espacio vertical y reducir el consumo energético. Esta apuesta por la innovación se traduce en una ventaja competitiva tangible para sus clientes al permitir reducciones significativas en los costes operativos. “Estamos trabajando tanto para nosotros como para nuestros clientes”, destacó Arantxa Claverías.

También se anunció la próxima implementación del inventario mediante drones, una solución que, según Claverías, “permite tener controlado el stock y evitar errores”. Asimismo, se presentó la herramienta de control de excelencia Sigma  Cup, utilizada por DSV para garantizar la calidad operativa. Claverías concluyó afirmando que “la satisfacción del cliente es nuestra prioridad”.

La jornada continuó con una presentación técnica a cargo de Yolanda Ruiz y Pablo  Pérez, de la empresa Element Logic, centrada en el sistema Autostore. Se trata de una solución de almacenamiento automatizado en la que los robots se desplazan por encima de una estructura cúbica extrayendo las cubetas necesarias para preparar pedidos. “Existen cubetas de distintos tamaños: 220, 330 y 425 mm. Según la ergonomía y la capacidad de almacenaje, se elige una u otra”, explicó Yolanda Ruiz.

El sistema AutoStore no solo permite un uso extremadamente eficiente del espacio, sino que también acelera la preparación de pedidos, mejorando tanto los tiempos de respuesta como la precisión en la operativa. Ruiz también subrayó la eficiencia energética del sistema y su bajo impacto ambiental: “Diez robots consumen lo mismo que una aspiradora”.

Uno de los momentos más esperados de la jornada fue la visita al almacén AutoStore de DSV, donde los asistentes pudieron observar en tiempo real el sistema en funcionamiento.

Logistics Innovation Day: DSV and Element Logic share their vision for the future

On Thursday 24 April, the DSV Fulfilment Factory event focused on innovation, sustainability and efficiency.

During the event, attendees had the opportunity to gain a deeper insight into DSV, one of the world's leading transport and logistics companies. The presentation was led by Sabrina Balada (Senior Marketing Manager) and Arantxa Claverías (Senior Project Solutions Manager), who provided a clear overview of the company's commitment to technology and sustainable development.

One of the most notable examples of this commitment is DSV's first multi-level warehouse in Spain, a pioneering facility designed to optimise vertical space and reduce energy consumption. This commitment to innovation translates into a tangible competitive advantage for its customers, as it enables significant reductions in operating costs.
"We work not only for ourselves, but also for our customers," emphasised Arantxa Claverías.

The event also saw the announcement of the forthcoming implementation of drone-based inventory management, a solution that, according to Claverías, "will allow us to keep stock under control and avoid errors". The Sigma Cup operational excellence tool, which DSV uses to ensure service quality, was also presented. Claverías concluded: "Customer satisfaction is our top priority".

The event continued with a technical presentation by Yolanda Ruiz and Pablo Pérez of Element Logic, focusing on the AutoStore system. This is an automated storage solution in which robots move around a cube-shaped grid to retrieve totes for order preparation.
"There are totes of different heights - 220, 330 and 425 mm. One or the other is chosen depending on ergonomics and storage capacity requirements," explains Yolanda Ruiz.

The AutoStore system not only allows for extremely efficient use of space, but also speeds up order picking, improving both response times and operational accuracy. Ruiz also highlighted the system's energy efficiency and low environmental impact:
"Ten robots consume as much as one vacuum cleaner," she noted.

One of the most anticipated moments of the day was the live visit to DSV's AutoStore warehouse, where attendees were able to see the system in action in real time.
